Tal como suena, el momento donde más errores se comenten, no porque seas malo, sino porque simplemente es la primera vez y no has nacido enseñado, por eso hoy trataremos de intentar evitar esos errores.

1-      No empieza la emoción

Algo habitual cuando empiezas a escribir es que te cueste darle emoción, te recreas en que se levanta, se hace el desayuno, se va a trabajar… Eso no interesa a nadie. Debemos darle al lector algo que le impida dejar de leer.

Para mí, es el momento en que más tiempo debemos invertir, si el inicio no es bueno, el resto nunca se sabrá porque nadie llegará a esa parte. Eso sí, no basta con un primer párrafo interesante y después nada, el segundo debe darle al lector expectativas para continuar.

Después ya podrás bajar el ritmo porque lo tendrás enganchado, pero mientras debes ser implacable con él. Los lectores no son seres conformistas y solo tienen que ir a una librería o a la biblioteca para encontrar millores de propuestas que le interesen. Haz de tu historia la que quiera leer.

2-      No hay casualidades ni azar

Puede que en tu día a día se den muchas coincidencias o casualidades, pero cuando estamos ante una novela, no podemos dejar que eso suceda, nuestros lectores no son tan crédulos como crees.

Por lo tanto, eres el encargado de conseguir que el lector crea en todo ese universo extraordinario que estás creando.

Si existen coincidencias, casualidades, cosas del azar o lo que sea, debe estar justificado, no le hagas creer que es algo natural porque sí. Nunca colará.

Por lo tanto, si eres capaz de dar vida a ese universo y consigues la inmersión del lector en él, serás capaz de crear magia literaria, mientras lea sentirá que es real todo lo que se describe.

3-      No abuses de los detalles

Este error, aunque te suene familiar no es igual que el número 1, en este caso se refiere a que una vez lo tienes viviendo aventuras, si te frenas contando demasiadas cosas acabará por aburrirse, cada paso se volverá tedioso y no avanzará la historia.

Si le has llevado a tu mundo para después permitir que se vaya, conseguirás algo peor que no engancharlo en un principio y nunca podemos permitirnos algo así, estamos para hacer disfrutar no para defraudar.

4-      No des demasiadas lecciones

Está muy bien que tengas cosas que contar y siéntete libre para hacerlo, aunque si te emocionas dando discursos sobre la vida o lo que sea que crees que los demás deben seguir, no conseguirás nada.

Porque si intentas educar con tus sermones al lector, lo que conseguirás será que se cierre en banda y se irá, habrá descubierto la carta que ocultas bajo la manga y perderá todo el sentido.

5-      El bien y el mal

Suele ser un tema recurrente y no es la primera vez que hablamos de ello, ya en Cómo escribir un libro diferente comentamos este punto.

Es casi tan vital para que sea fluido que representen esa naturalidad como la propia historia en sí. Con ese equilibro podremos representar la simbología de la manera que queramos expresarla.

No caigas en la tentación de darle un solo defecto al héroe y una sola virtud al villano, deben tener pros y contras. Además, consiguiendo ese realismo incluso nuestros lectores podrán dudar de quien es el bueno y el malo, crearemos conflictos en ellos inesperados.

6-      Hacerte el escritor

No sé en lo que estás pensando, pero quítatelo de la cabeza, no va a resultar si escribes como debes y no como quieres. En otras situaciones quizás puedas colocarte una máscara, pero aquí no debes temer.

Cada libro conseguirá que te desnudes un poco más y eso no es malo, no te avergüences de esas cosas, porque solo así llegarás a dónde quieres.

No escribas bonito, escribe bien. ¿Cómo? Eso mismo, que debes transmitir lo que deseas transmitir en cada momento, no hace falta adornarlo demasiado, debe entenderse.

Elige con cuidado cada aventura, que suene bien no va reñido con crear una gran obra.

7-      Cuidado con el punto de vista

Este es un error demasiado habitual, no sólo en escritores primerizos, sino a grandes autores les pasa, incluso puedes encontrar libros con errores en la calle. ¿Cómo no te va a pasar a ti?

Hay que tener mucho cuidado, la vista en cada párrafo cuenta, si hablas desde el interior de un personaje, no puedes salirte sin una premisa coherente y adentrarte en el otro.

Está bien, podríamos utilizar un narrador omnisciente y en ese caso sabría lo que piensa cada uno en cada instante, pero eso no favorece al lector porque necesita sentirse identificado y tener una referencia.

Si vas a cambiar de vista, debes poner al lector sobre aviso, que sepa que debe cambiar el chip. Si tenemos más de un personaje principal deberemos ir cambiando en cada escena la vista, siempre y cuando el narrador avise.

8-      ¿Qué debe contar el escritor?

Suele detectarse como un bloqueo, llega un momento que el escritor no sabe si explicar algunas experiencias reales, duda si el lector creerá que le ha ocurrido al escritor o si solo es parte de la historia.

Por otro lado, tenemos ese miedo habitual sobre el qué dirán de mí, tras cada frase e impedimos que se desarrolle la historia con naturalidad. Es un grave problema, si lo tenemos en cuenta jamás escribiremos nada.

Este caso, cuando es más habitual es en las escenas de sexo. Normalmente el autor no se atreve a expresarlo con naturalidad, cuando es un acto corriente, todos tenemos alguna vez sexo en nuestra vida, por lo tanto no es algo que solo te pase a ti. Explícalo como quieras, pero no te cohibas. Además el lector no quiere que escatimes en detalles en ese momento.

Incluso diré más, en estas escenas conflictivas, suele aparecer el señor eufemismo. ¿Por qué pene o vagina cuando es una escena de sexo salvaje en la que los personajes sueltan toda clase de improperios? Si es una polla es una polla.

Lo mismo que si dos personajes  se pelean y uno es de otra raza, no le vas a decir “señor de color distinto al mío”, lo llamarás negro o amarillo porque te estás peleando y en ese momento de calentón no vas a pensar si le ofendes.

Estos son algunos de los errores habituales, ahora a no cometerlos… o sí, da lo mismo, lo importante es escribir con el alma y el corazón. Que nadie te impida triunfar.
